Artist's impression of the view from London Wall into the new City Gallery

Museum of London is undergoing an exciting transformation!

Our lower galleries – which explore London’s history from 1666 to the present day – are now closed for an exciting and inspiring transformation which will see more space, new objects on display and online access to the Museum’s fascinating collections.

The new galleries are scheduled to be unveiled by 2010 when you will once again be able to admire the magnificent Lord Mayor’s Coach, take a stroll down the Victorian Walk and, for the first time, explore 21st century London.

Until the grand opening you can still discover the capital's many incarnations in the London before London, Roman London and Medieval London galleries, together with London's Burning, a special display on the Great Fire, and a series of topical exhibitions and events for all ages.
