Race Equality Scheme 2006-2009

This document outlines the actions the Museum will be taking to develop its work around race equality. The Scheme aims not only to meet our legal requirements but to illustrate our commitment to race equality.

It marks our significant achievements in equality and diversity and presents a plan to take things forward to ensure we continue to lead in our public programmes in key areas of research, access and learning, consultation and workforce development.

We welcome your views

The Museum's Race Equality Scheme is a working document providing a framework for race equality. We welcome comments and suggestions from staff, visitors, community groups, stakeholders and any other interested parties.

The plan will be reviewed annually and regular updates will be provided on the website.
